The idea of letting people to donate, without spending, by playing video games comes from Nicolò’s thesis in Economics at Ca ‘Foscari, a 700 pages thesis.
Matteo, young engineer and Nicolò’s historic basketball rival, reads his thesis and decides to quit his job to do this project together.
The two guys start this adventure with some successes: Milan Startup Weekend, Startuppato in Turin, the first articles and the first interviews. The idea works!
So, they develop a web-app prototype that reaches over 20 countries in the world.
At the end of 2018 they build a very strong team, collect the first funds and win the National Innovation Award.
At the beginning of 2019 they are selected by Plug & Play and they leave for Silicon Valley, where they spend a three-month acceleration period.
When they come back, they finish the platform and start testing it.
In the summer of 2019 they are awarded the Seal of Excellence by the European Union, during the transformation from “Ofree” to “Gamindo”.
This is just the beginning.
